Once a prospective student fills out the form or calls our admissions department, they will go through an initial phone interview with an advisor. Applicants who are recommended to move forward will then take a critical thinking and problem-solving assessment.
  • No, the only requirement is that you be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • We offer the flexibility of a part-time program, allowing working professionals to study web development without leaving work, as well as a full-time program for those who want to complete the course at a faster pace.

  • No, previous experience is not required. While having some background can help, our pre-course materials will get you up to speed and ready to get started on day one.
  • Students can expect to commit a total of 240 hours to the class (10 hours of class each week). Including self-study, we recommend setting aside 30+ hours per week during the course.
  • The online coding boot camp offers students the exact same curriculum and outcome, but with the advantage of online classes. Both boot camps teach the same thing first and foremost — how to think like and become a developer.
  • Yes. Students will build front-end websites, create full-stack single-page applications and more through real-world projects as they gain practical web development experience and build a professional portfolio.
  • Students may be concerned about being isolated and not having the right support network in place when learning online. As part of the online coding boot camp, we’ve created a strong sense of community where you can engage and work with your peers to help each other overcome problems, as it’s likely you’ll be working through the curriculum at roughly the same pace. You will be able to engage with other students through a dedicated Slack channel. In addition to other students, you will have a network of staff members to motivate and support you. These layers of support include Teaching Assistants, a Student Success Team and a Career Services Team.
  • Before and after class daily, we hold structured office hours. Students can join breakout groups that cover specific topics like This week’s homework or yesterday’s class, or can choose to work solo with 1:1 help from an instructional staff member.
  • A reliable computer is required for this course. Either Mac or PC, with a minimum 8GB of RAM and a dual-core processor. If you’re unsure if your device meets the requirements, please check with your admissions advisor first and they will make sure you’re good to go.
